CanterBrooke has an excellent lesson program for riders of all ages and abilities.  We have two different instructors, each with different strengths to fullfill the needs of each rider.  Introductory lessons start at only $25.  Our lessons can be taught on your horse or using one of our safe, well trained lesson horses.  Contact us to set up your lesson today!  Lesson schedules for each instructor are listed below.

Head Instructor/Trainer: John Robertson

John comes to us from Australia with his wife Anne.  John started riding a a very young age, and grew up with pony club, jumping everything in his path!  After high school, he headed off to Europe, where he studied, competed and taught for two years.  While there he competed in eventing, dressage, jumping and hunter trials. He also studied grand prix dressage, training with a rider from the spanish riding school, and at the time trained and instructed a member of the UK junior dressage team who competed in the Aachen Junior European Dressage Championships at the Grand Prix level.  He then went back to Australia, where he was a favored instructor for both the La Vale Pony Club and the Queensland Pony Club.  In 1980, he started competing the connemara stallion, Domo Cavallo Praize, who still stands as one of the top winning connemara stallions in eventing, dressage and jumping (the pony was 14.2hh!).  He has many other credentials, including judging dressage and eventing competitions,  quarter horse shows, jumpers and hunters.  He is currently working on his US hunter/jumper trainer certification as well as his IEP certification.  He is also and international connemara pony society inspector.

The only way to really get a feel for how fortunate we are to have John come and work for us is to come and check him out for yourself!  He is now scheduling clients for lessons, your first lesson with him (limited time offer!) even as a returning CEC client in $25. Call or email me to set up a lesson.  We hope that you can join us in welcoming him to Iowa.
